Maurizio Bradaschia is associate professor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Trieste. He has a PhD in Design and Survey of the Building Heritage and holds the Courses of Architecture and Architectural Composition and Building techniques in Developing Countries at the Faculty of Engineering and is in charge of the Architectural and Urban Composition workshop II at the faculty of Architecture, university of Trieste. He was a member of the teaching body of the Italo-Nigerian PhD programme in Design and Technology (1990-1996). He participated as a researcher in the UN Settlement Upgrading Programme for Ibadan, Nigeria (UNCHS Habitat II), 1995-1996. He was member of the transnational working team of the Vision Planet Project (Central European, Danubian and Adriatic area), European Union 1998.2000, he is member of the TEM (Trans European Motorway) project panel, United Nations, since 2000. Since 2 July 2001 he is the Land Planning Councillor of the Municipality of Trieste and is member of the working group for the implementation of infrastructural works set forth in the “Legge Obiettivo”. He drafted an operational proposal for the Ministry of infrastructures aimed at the functional and logistic upgrading of the metropolitan area of Trieste, at the Paneuropean Corridors V and Adriatic. He founded and is the editor of the international journal of Architecture, Art, Communication and design “il Progetto”. He is the author of two entries in the “Appendice 2000” of the italian Encyclopaedia “Treccani”, in the section Architecture. He wrote 93 scientific publications. His projects have been published on the magazines Costruire, Area, Architecti, ab, Hise, Anfione Zeto, Il Progetto.
